Mourinho hailed his nous and maturity, feeling that Bove was playing like a man ten years his senior.“The only one I really liked – because he gave everything technically, tactically and mentally – was a 21-year-old kid who was not even in the first team two years ago,” Mourinho said in 2023, singling out Bove for praise after Roma’s 2-0 Europa League defeat to Slavia Prague.“We had one player who played with legs, body and mind.
